Its
the first day of school of our 9th Grade year of High School. What
are you wearing?
If
you are anything like me, that outfit was picked out as soon as I
was home from shopping for clothes. I was lucky for that first day
of school in that I had clothes for the beginning of the year. The
clothes evolved from Osh Kosh Overalls, to rolled-up sweatpants, to
ripped jeans, to boot cut jeans, to mock turtlenecks, to the
leather jackets with a polo popped collar. Listen, the trends were
the trends and I was UP ON IT usually. I had blond tipped hair, a
puka shell necklace, air force ones, and boot cut jeans. I liked to
be put together. Thinking back on it and reflecting, I was really
into fashion and my looks. Now I wonder if that is a normal thing
or if it was a "me" thing. I am on this thought train because of
Brene Brown, Dax Sheperd, and Tim Ferris. There is a show Brene
puts on "Unlocking Us" and they started talking about Identity. I
stopped listening after that because I am onto the blood trail of
what I wanted to write about today.
