We were laughing so hard that soda came out of our noses, mouths, and probably our eyeballs a little bit.  We were watching Kevin Hart on his Netflix Special talking about his baby being dumb and doing "retarded" things like getting into the oven when he is mad.

We laugh because we know, going into the comedy show, that we are allowed to laugh at anything we want to.  We give ourselves permission to laugh and be free with our expressions.  We start to relate with the comedian, if they're good, at some level due to our similar experiences.  When the relationship hits second base is when it feels like we have locked eyes with the speaker because they know me and my struggles.  They're basically talking directly to me at that point.  I feel engaged and personally connected now.  I am fully invested in this person and what they have to say.  Once that occurs, there is little to nothing that person can do that will change my perception of them because we are bonded.  They have imprinted on me.  That person just became part of MY journey and I will protect them now.

I was at the airport on a business trip in Atlanta, Ga.  Not to brag but I was on a long layover, had a couple drinks, and started watching Kevin Hart's comedy special.  I fired up my laptop, plugged in (because you know i didn't shut it down before i left the last meeting and its dead now), and propped my feet up on my suitcase in case I fell asleep I wanted to make sure my stuff didn't go anywhere. I also keep my laptop bag attached to my suitcase for the same reason.  During the course of watching the special I noticed a couple of fellas watching me watch my laptop.  I was into it and really not caring who saw me in tears laughing.  I did, however, need to take a break from the laughter.  I was losing track of reality to be honest and you know that panic when you think you missed your flight when you had the headphones in and weren't paying attention.  I had that panic, but it was fine and my flight was still on schedule and I had plenty of time to continue my escape from reality.  The guys took this opportunity to ask me what I was watching because they were enjoying watching me having such a good time they wanted in on the secret.  I let them know and boom Kevin Hart has two new fans.  Fast forward to Kevin Hart gets in a car accident where he was trapped in the overturned car.  The news outlets were all over the place in the reports so it was hard to tell what happened, but hearing about the accident had a connection with me.  I heard from one outlet he was drunk or high with a girl and their friend out for a good time gone wrong.  I immediately had outrage at that.  I couldn't believe someone would say that.  In the comments section, they were bashing him and said nobody should watch his specials anyhow because he cheated on his wife.  Right there is where I want to pause.
